FAQ

What is community solar?

A new way to receive the savings and environmental benefits of solar energy without the need to install panels on your home, rooftop or property.

Do I need to install panels on my roof or property?

No. No panels or installations necessary. It’s simple, with no additional sign up fees to get started.

Will I still be a customer of PSE&G?

Yes, you will still stay with your current utility provider, but your bill will be reduced.

Why am I receiving 2 bills?

One bill will come from PSE&G and will show community solar credits. These credits represent the amount of electricity that was supplied to you by the Solar Landscape community solar farm. Those credits are applied to your bill and reduce the amount you owe to PSE&G. The other bill will come from Solar Landscape for the electricity that was provided to you from the solar project. Your 15-20% discount will be applied on the Solar Landscape bill, saving you money every month.  Since you will be signed up via AutoPay, your Solar Landscape statement will show you how much money you paid and how much money you save every month.

Are you an electricity supplier (ESCO)?

No. Solar Landscape is a community solar developer, which is not the same as a third-party retail energy supplier. Solar Landscape provides solar electricity to PSE+G, and you get a credit for the value of the electricity generated on your behalf. Your savings are also guaranteed for up to 20 years, unlike retail energy suppliers who offer short-term savings and can change rates often.
